For more than 30 years, PIRE has produced essential knowledge about the problems and prevention of some of society's most serious public health threats, including underage drinking, drug abuse, impaired driving, teen risk behaviours, unintentional injuries and neighbourhood violence.

PIRE's newly redeveloped website features the PIRE Resource Finder, a repository of original PIRE research and programme materials, while the PIRE Spotlight and Newsroom help interpret the important work of PIRE researchers. The website also presents PIRE research guides and other PIRE-related websites on public health problems and solutions.

Unlike websites that gather up health news from outside sources, www.PIRE.org offers only original content from PIRE research and programme staff, which assures the highest level of quality.

PIRE - Pacific Institute for Research and Evaluation - is an independent non-profit public health organisation. It has research and programme centres in eight cities and is funded mainly by federal and state science grants and contracts.
