The Deaf Cultural Centre (DCC) is a very modern and unique conference centre located close to Birmingham City Centre and within walking distance of main transportation links. It offers a unique and flexible venue to host conferences and meetings, in an accessible, inspiring and modern space.

Our bright and airy award-winning building boasts meeting rooms and spaces that can accommodate between 5-150 people, a perfect setting for your next conference, meeting or training event. There is an on-site car park which is available free to delegates and we have also negotiated a discount with a local multi-story car park, located just 5 minutes walk away, should our own car park be full. Our in-house café is used to cater for all of our events and also offers a varied menu for those who want to meet friends or colleagues in a relaxed, modern setting. All of our spaces are disabled-accessible.

The Deaf Cultural Centre is part of BID Services, a Birmingham based charity working in partnership with deaf people and other communities, and is run as a social enterprise. Revenues from our event bookings are used to deliver a range of community and leisure activities to support the communities that we work with.

The Deaf Cultural Centre is the first of its kind in the UK in terms of offering modern conference & event facilities, whilst also supporting a rich & diverse community.

• Located 1.5 miles from Birmingham City Centre, we are easily accessible by bus, trains and motorways.
• Five Ways is our nearest train station and is approx 12-15 minute walk.
• On-site car park for 15 spaces & 2 disabled spaces free of charge
• Within easy walking distance to a range of hotels, bars, restaurants and central shopping area.

Simister Hall
The Simister Hall is our largest room that can accommodate up to 150 theatre style. It is a bright, contemporary space with natural daylight and an automatic climate control system. It also has a built in ceiling projector and lectern. This room is ideal for exhibitions, conferences, AGM’s, workshops etc and can be split into 3 parts – Hall 1, 2 & 3.

Simister Hall 1
Hall 1 is the largest division of the Hall with natural daylight and built in AV equipment. Suitable for small groups with breakout space or groups over 50.

Simister Hall 2 & 3
Halls 2 & 3 are intimate spaces suitable for small groups or one-to-one meetings.

Ashton Room
The Ashton room accommodates 50 theatre style. It has natural daylight and an automatic climate control system. The room can also divide into three intimate break out spaces. It is ideal for meetings, workshops, training or as a breakout room.

The Bar
The Bar is a similar size to the Ashton room and can accommodate 50 theatre style. It boasts floor to ceiling windows either side of the room promoting plenty of natural daylight, an automatic climate control system and disabled access. This room is ideal for smaller exhibitions, meetings, training and breakout area.
